Little Miss Margherita is a documentary film about a misunderstood pizza being made by exceptional people in a place nobody's expecting: North Mississippi.

Featuring:
Marisol Doyle of Leña Pizza + Bagels
Emily Blount of Saint Leo
Dutch Van Oostendorp of Tribecca Allie Cafe
Scott Weiner of Scott's Pizza Tours, New York
Peter Reinhart, author & educator, Johnson & Wales University;

Scott Weiner of Scott's Pizza Tours, NYC

Scott Weiner is perhaps the world's most prolific professional "pizza nerd." He also owns the world's largest collection of pizza boxes, as per Guinness. He runs the world-famous Scott's Pizza Tours from Brooklyn. He was also good enough to let us take his Sunday Bus Pizza Tour with a camera in hand--and amazingly programmed the tour to focus on Pizza Margherita.

Peter Reinhart, Chef/Educator/James Beard Award-winning author, Johnson & Wales University, Charlotte NC

A prolific author on the subjects of pizza and bread, Peter is one of the biggest and (more importantly) nicest guys in pizza. We were able to interview him twice--once inside the hottest pizza joint in Charlotte, NC (Bird Pizzeria) and again at Johnson & Wales University, where he is an Instructor At Large.  We could make an entire other movie with just him and his world of bread & pizza.

Leña Pizza + Bagels, Cleveland MS

In 2025, Leña was named to the 50 Top Pizza list in the US, and Marisol Doyle was named to Italy's list of the world's Top 100 Pizza Chefs. Born and raised in Mexico, she's been making pizza for about three years.

Saint Leo, Oxford MS

Raised in California, Emily Blount was working as an actress in New York when her husband convinced her to move to his hometown. It was the last thing she ever expected to do. She became a VPN-certified pizzamaker and opened James Beard-nominated St. Leo.

Tribecca Allie Café, Sardis MS

Golf pro Dutch Van Oostendorp and his swim coach wife Rebecca moved from New York State to be near her aging mother. When they couldn't find good pizza, he built an oven in his back yard. That led to opening a pizzeria and becoming a silver medalist in the American Pizza Championship.
